2.56 Cannibal Queen

"But alas, Vina suffered the same fatal flaw as her fellow Star deities" Mina continued with a tone of sarcasm. "Because she had kept all the Solarian Knowledge away from everyone else, she presumed to know everything and was overly confident in her position of power. What Vina perceived from the penthouse suite was merely an illusion of control. What Vina didn’t know, was that the Vine Club was spawning it's own loyalties. There were a lot more babies being born than Vina realized.
Another thing that Vina didn't realize was that her Love Lust slaves were producing exquisite babies when bred with the Original Star People of Solaria. Her presumed control meant she never physically checked up on the underground operation enough, and relied too heavily on the word of the Anunnaki children.
Atalon was the first to notice her over confidence, her neglect to monitor the activities underground. He soon figured out her scheme, that she secretly knew about the brothel and was playing dumb as a means of control. He had learned a little of the Solarian Knowledge from the Star people in his organization, he had learned about the arts of illusion, they had been eager to share all they knew with him.
And so, unbeknownst to Vina, he played along as if he didn’t know either. He built more secret brothels and employed Brothel Police to make it look like he was playing by the rules, claiming the infants as required by law and handing them over to Vina. But the truth was, he only handed over the ones that weren’t so exquisite. He kept the real beauties hidden away beneath the temple of Elon, where he gave Sina and Lea the responsibilities of raising them in secrecy.
But soon the slaves began to notice that not all the babies were being sacrificed in the Grand Courtyard, the numbers weren’t adding up. Conspiracy theories began to spread throughout the communities of Vinilla, suggested by the same Great Teachers which Vina employed.
Vina was eating them! Vina had been breeding Lust slaves in order to harvest tender meat! The Star People grew enraged by the theories and began advertising the births and documenting the sacrifices. They believed these theories were true and unrest grew quickly throughout the slave community.
In an orchestrated showdown the Vine Club was exposed and the community set ablaze with angry protest. Posters were plastered on street poles, slogans of morals were drawn in the soil.
VINA THE CANNIBAL! VINA THE BABY EATER! EVIL VINA! EVIL SCHEEMA!
Vina was furious with the false allegations but Atalon was ready with wine and condolences, promising to save her from the wrath of the angry slaves. He got her drunk and in a heroic display of solidarity to the people, cast her out to sea, never to be seen again.
Once more the city of Vinilla changed it's name. This time, the city was named Atlan, and it was the real dawning of the Atlan Empire."
"WHAT?" Zara was livid. "But Atlan was born from a Great War! Everyone knows that! It's written in every history book of the Atlan Empire! Page one!"
"It's a twisted truth" Mina replied.
"TWISTED TRUTH?" Zara objected. "THAT'S NOT TWISTED TRUTH THAT'S A DOWNRIGHT LIE!!! ATALON WOULD  NEVER MAKE UP THE GREAT WAR!!!"
"But it was a great war" Mina reminded. "That's how it's twisted."
Furious, Zara was lost. "Why would Atalon twist the truth about it?"
"Because he didn't want to be remembered as a king who inherited the throne by getting the Queen drunk and sending her out to sea? It's not very good for publicity."
Zara thought about it, Mina had a point. "Then why didn't he kill her?" She didn't understand, it made no sense.
"Because he wanted the slaves to regard him as a benevolent king, a loving and kind Anunnaki, he saved them from the Cannibal Queen."
Zara shook her head at the crummy characterization of the benevolent king she had worshipped with such loyalty her whole life. The king who had sacrificed her own Product to an impostor, no less. Devastating flashbacks of the sacrifice hurt worse than ever now, how could he be so cruel? Feeling the tide swell inside, she took a deep breath, trying to control her thoughts, thoughts much too painful to be thought, yet slowly Zara was beginning to see how her world could possibly have become so upside down.
"Loved by one and all, Atalon took the throne, he rebuilt the city and rebuilt the Firmary from head to toe, ironing out any flaws in the Great Machine he now had full control over. The seeds of the Atlan Empire had been sown with Fear, Heartache Greed and Lust, it was to be an Empire powerful enough to bring Elon back, regardless of the gold."
