The sun was pouring through the sheers
when Mina awoke the next day, it was a promising sign. She hurried to the
window to look outside, her heart leapt with joy when she spotted the bright
blue sails of Vikkar's ship, already sailing into the bay of Mu.
It
was a busy morning in the seaside town. One by one the party crashers gathered
on the docks, dressed in their finest performance costumes and bearing either a
keg of wine, a musical instrument, a basket of food or a small child, excited
by the challenge of luring their estranged and enslaved families from their
loveless lives. The energy was electric, it was an amazing sight to behold as
the plan came together in such a festive and radiant way.
But feelings of joy and hope weren't pure, they were tarnished with fear and doubt too. Zara still had real concerns about the trip, she knew Atalon's rage could be dangerous when triggered unexpectedly, they were taking a huge and dangerous risk. Neter seemed confident they could pull it off, as he lead the Unicorn up the ramp onto the ship's deck, she could almost see the horn glow, faintly it began to appear the farther he led the animal away.

The
ship sailing out of the harbor was a magical sight to behold. Vikkar's grey and
grubby old gravel ship had been completely transformed, it looked like a
carnival ship now, loaded with love and promise of a good time.
And
as the ship sailed away, the voyagers broke out into an old Origian Revolution
Song, filling the bay of Mu with the magical vibrations of their music and love
as they sailed off to free the souls of the Atlan Empire.
Zara
chuckled to herself, knowing now. Magic was real!
