Now that the scenes from her own life had
woven themselves into the tale, Zara was feeling relieved that Neter had gone
to investigate. And even though she didn't know who or what to believe, it was
becoming increasingly clear too that whatever she believed to be true or false,
had to be explored in order to learn if it really was true or false.
"Some
of the rebels were able to learn pieces of the truth" Akku continued, "because
they had access to historical records which none of the slaves had access to.
These rebels were the Origian Panthers, babies who were born on the Full Moon.
Like the Moon, they were the Undead, buried alive, highly educated by Sapparu,
their task was to rewrite the history books for the king, and divinate from the
astrological alignments in the sky.
But
Sapparu taught them more than the king knew. They discovered ancient stories
written in the cave walls where the king never trod, they were the ones who
discovered the lies and learned the truth about the great beast that lived in
the mountain, just like you did. They learned the truth that the Archonic Star
people had created the Anunnaki that destroyed their actual Creator Gods, and
transformed their world into the Hellias it had become, while realizing that
this Knowledge could help turn it around. Avidly, they deciphered the symbols and
translated them onto tablets for secret distribution, hoped this would spread
the Knowledge beyond the Panther grottoes, that together they could win Solaria
back it's power and return to a Golden Age.
One
by one they leaked the information out to those on the outside, hoping the
information would wake the slaves to the Great Big Lie. But the leaks were
reported and Atalon learned of the Panther movement, of the Truthers gathering
their stories of the ancient past and sharing it with the slaves. Their
Knowledge was threatening his control in dangerous ways. Tensions arose quicker
than he could harness them. It wasn't long before the Truth Movement mushroomed
out of control.
Suddenly
everyone wanted to know The Truth; Was the truth about Aquilla a lie? What had
become of the ancient King Sapparu? Who was Elon? Who were the Solarians? What
happened to the Nummo? Had anyone actually
seen a dogon?"
Zara
found herself staring at Jasun's webbed hands again; she had questions, too.
"Soon
enough the whispers turned vocal" Akku continued. "Conspiracy
theories continued to divide social circles, posters began to appear in
doorways, in windows and on street poles, 'FREE SAPPARU' slogans were
written in the ground, all over town.
The
new Origian Great Teachers were ready to install, but now, Atalon would need to
cleanse the city of the Truther unrest, caused by the malfunctioning Origian
Panthers. And it wasn't just the slaves who were learning the truth. Atalon
didn’t like the things he was learning, either. He didn’t like to learn he was
hatched from an egg, he had to get to the bottom of it and eradicate this Knowledge
once and for all.
Atalon
knew that old King Sapparu knew the truth about the Phoenix and Archons, how
they could be manipulated and pitted against one another in magical ways, was this
in fact his doing? He told the old king of his problems and asked him for
advice. The old king told him that the slaves needed to know the truth, that
they needed love, that Truth and Love would bond them together.
But
then, the Tabloids announced that Sapparu had died a Dishonorable Death. The
following week the Truthers mysteriously began disappearing. An Official
Investigation dominated the Tabloids for months thereafter. In the end,
everyone learned that the Truthers had left the city walls in search of the
truth and had been savaged by Aquilla and his savage dogons.
The
slaves grew fearful of the new threat beyond the city walls and the movement
simmered down, but the seeds of distrust had been sown. And King Atalon knew
exactly what they needed, for Sapparu assured him, the slaves not only needed
the truth, they needed Love.
The
next day, the tabloids blamed the Truther lies on Sina the goddess of Love,
declaring that it was her love which was false, that it made them spread such
evil, and so he sacrificed her in the Grand Courtyard.
Lea,
her sister was furious, she knew the truth and vowed to expose the Big Fat Lie.
But because he was a benevolent king, Atalon offered his sincerest
condolences to her. With a bottle of his finest wine, he begged for her
forgiveness, expressing his sincerest regret, explaining that Sapparu had made
him do it. He told her that the king was still alive, that he had been
educating him on the real truth, that they had been lied to by Medel, Barduk
and Vina, that Sapparu was their real Creator god and it was He who told him
that Sina's love was false, knowing she would leak these words to the
angry slaves.
The
Origian Great Teachers confirmed that Sapparu was indeed alive! The slaves were
horrified. They rose in an angry protest against the cruel King, vowing to
free Sapparu from his dungeoness demise.
But
this was exactly what Atalon had orchestrated. Once the Great Teachers had
led the protest inside the Grand Courtyard, he locked the gates. Once captured
in the courtyard, he threw all the dissenters into the dungeons where they
would be tortured along with Sapparu, in whatever way the Firmary required.
The
following day, the Tabloids accused Lea of lying to the people and causing
civil unrest. As a punishment the king executed his Anunnaki sister in a grand
celebration, banishing her to Hellias forever. With the dissidents buried alive
and the Phoenix Anunnaki snuffed out, Atalon felt safe enough to install his
first Origian god into the Firmary. Orius, god of Technology had been groomed
to be much more than a Great Teacher, his role was to restore some of the trust
Atalon had lost from the slaves, he was to be the slave's god."
"Orius?" Zara echoed, wondering now
about dates, this was becoming modern day and still none of it she had heard
before. "How old is he?"
Akku
quantified the decades as best he could. "He must be at least two hundred
and fifty years old by now."
"Two hundred and fifty years old?"
Zara was shocked! She knew the Origians lived long, but she didn't realize by
how much. "Then how old is Atalon?"
"Who
knows… We figure Atalon is thousands of years old" Akku replied. "This
whole thing didn't happen overnight you know."
"Thousands
of years old?" Zara couldn't believe it. "No. No way!"
Akku
smiled, they always reacted with disbelief. "Think spiritually rather than
physically, although physically they get very old, too. The Anunnaki are like
Aquilla; it’s more like, they reproduce themselves, none of us really know or
can explain for sure how many times they have reproduced themselves. Somehow
they have, there's plenty of evidence they've been with us that long, maybe
even longer."
