"King Atalon made the same mistake
that Vina made" Akku continued. "He believed the education of the
Origians had been carried out as ordered, he meticulously monitored every class
after the Panther Fiasco. However, knowing how Knowledge could be twisted and
used in Archonic ways, Sapparu had armed the Origians with Insight by teaching
them all they had to learn in allegory.
The
Origians born from Anunnaki bloodlines which had a strong phoenix Flame had
strong Solarian DNA which gave them powers they weren’t aware of, because they
were never educated on how to use them. Knowing this, Sapparu cleverly taught
these Phoenix Origian children techniques to recognize patterns through
allegory and song, arming them with the insight they would need to seek out the
only weapon that could save them from Archonic enslavement, the Light which was
brighter than Elon's shadowy reflection; Knowledge.
One
by one, the Phoenix Origian Teachers began to identify what they saw with the
allegories they learned, struck with horror as they saw for themselves what
Sapparu had disclosed in code as they set foot outside the walls of their
institution for the very first time. They knew instantly, it was their task to
clean up the society, but by the time they began to wake up to the truth the
task was enormous, poverty stricken and dying slaves were begging in the
streets for scraps the wealthy youngsters would jovially toss.
One
by one, the Phoenix Origians quietly organized help for the dying slaves and
urged the youth to reunite with their families by disclosing the truth and
explaining their duality. One by one the children returned to their parents,
reuniting their families once more. but as the slaves learned this new
Knowledge. Once more than half of the families had been restored, they wrote
letters to the king, demanding the poor be fed from the Treasury Coffers, that
the children be released from school.
Atalon
was enraged. It was his worst nightmare. Not only were there hundreds of these
Origians released into the city, malfunctioning, they had befriended the aging
slaves in secret, learned their ancient language, helped them back onto their
feet and ganged up on him, before he realized what was happening! Atalon didn't
understand what had gone wrong. He had to annihilate the disease before it
destroyed the Empire. So he passed the Institution Law. The Institution Law
meant that Parents were outlawed. Any child under the age of sixteen had to be
surrendered to institutional care."
Zara
couldn’t believe what she was hearing. "That's why we lost our families?"
Suddenly the picture changed as the puzzle pieces snapped into place. "The
Institution Law?"
"Yes"
Akku nodded. "It was devastating... It was the worst day in history at the
time... All the children were taken away... We didn't know where they were
taken to. We searched and searched... We still didn't know until you came along
and told us all about Culloom."
"You
never knew about Culloom?" Zara echoed, glancing at Mira, reminded once
again of her very real memory loss. "But what about Vikkar! Or Orius!!! How could they not know?"
"We
don't know" Mina replied. "Maybe they just don't know that they don't
know? Maybe they were lied to as well?"
"Brainwashed!"
Nepheus offered, hinting at a deeper truth.
"After
the Institution Law was enacted, the enclaves of Truthers exploded
exponentially" Akku continued. "They were determined to free their
children, somehow they had to find a way. They moved their movement
underground, back into the old brothels of Vinilla, in a secret revolution
movement led by the Panthers. Together they devised a plan to escape the city.
The Panthers taught the slaves about the underground escape route to Lemuria.
They taught them the truth about Aquilla, that she only knew good versus evil,
that only an Archonic soul that crossed her path would be incinerated. The
Panthers assured them, they were living proof, they had encountered her many
times. Aquilla always let them pass, just like you."
A
chill rode down Zara's spine as the encounter was finally explained. Now the
story was even travelling through the same passage she had taken! This was why the path was so well worn...
"They
explained to the Star People that even though she looked really scary, she was a
Phoenix Flame's best friend, their greatest ally of all."
Images
of the worn path through Aquilla's cave refreshed in Zara's mind...
Aquila’s big blue eyes weren't scary, they were sad… Unbelievable as it
was, it was all making sense! The moment she had faced the great Aquilla
was still fresh in her mind as if it had happened yesterday. She would never
forget the moment she thought she would die, had died…
She
could chuckle about it now, but the fear she had felt was so real, even
thinking about it made her palms sweat and her pulse race once again.
