A hush fell upon the crowds once again as
Nepheus and Jasun took command of the stage.
"My friends the time has come,
We have to say goodbye.
The moon is in the wings,
Light’s fading from the
sky."
Boos
and whistles erupted like a round of applause none the less. The gods paused a
moment, high on the energy radiating from the crowds, this was it, this was
what it was all for, this was the moment of their decision.
"Thank you all, for the love and cheer,
We wish you the best for the
coming year!"
The
crowds kept whistling, booing and cheering, some of the aribu were chanting
‘STAY STAY STAY’, flags and lighters rose in adoration over the sea of
emotional fans.
"But as the sun sinks down once more,
And rises again from shore to
shore,
We'd like to offer in return,
A chance to see the Solstice
turn."
The
crowds hushed. Murmurs and whispers began to buzz amongst them, was this just a
song or a real invitation? Conscious of the questioning minds, the gods of
Music continued to dust them with their magical spell.
"Our ship is big, the cargo empty,
Our hearts are wide, our food
is plenty.
As the Solstice births the
dawn of the Sun,
We welcome you all, and every
one."
Gasps... This was for real, an invitation to go to Hellias... The aribu exchanged wide eyes and shrugged shoulders, everyone wanted to know, was this really a real offer? Were they really, actually, officially offering them a chance to go and celebrate the Solstice in Lemuria? To Hellias?
"Come find the light, bring your
darkest fears.
Burn them with your pain, your
chains, your tears.
When the feast is done and the
songs are sung,
We'll bring you home, each and
every one!
GOOD NIGHT!"
Cheers
and whistles exploded from the crowd like never before, lighters were ablaze,
chanting began anew, the Lunies had been a hit! The gods of Music bowed and
left the stage amidst the waving hats, lighters and flags, knowing they had been a huge hit; but had they been a big
enough hit to make their Phoenix Flames fly?
Dena wiped a tear from her eye as the show ended from the doorway of her tent, clutching Nepheus's scarf, moved by the entire Lemurian encounter, she faced a real dilemma now and was struggling with reality versus belief. They were all invited? Was it actually Authorized? It was too good to be true. She was falling hard for the music god, there was no denying his magical power... He wanted her to wait here because he wanted to ask her to go to Lemuria... Heart pounding hard, the fantasies filled her mind instantly, as if she really wanted it. The urge to follow him back to Lemuria was so strong it hurt… Was this love? It hurt? That's why it was illegal?
She
turned to the mirror to check her hair, love thoughts racing through her mind,
pondering the offer. Bring us home?
That would be suicide, she knew there would be fatal fallout if she did such a
thing. Even if it was Authorized.
Even if everyone else went. She was a VIP. Or, was.
She let
out a heavy sigh, realizing her predicament. If she went to Lemuria she would
be taking a one way trip, but perhaps there was no future for her in Atlan now,
anyway. As she studied herself in the mirror, she had to smile, she could admit
she liked this rebellion idea... She
was having genuine fun for the first time in her life... She wanted his
sexy love more than anything else in Atlan, it felt so good...
